I tend to be more industrial/mining than pvp but I dont think loseing a ship is a big deal, especially if I can afford it. Infact I would happly fly expensive big ships in to low/null if kill-bords didnt exist. IMO thats whats preventing a lot of carebares from pvping, the loss stays on your record forever. |

If the mere record of a loss in a video game can keep someone from doing something they'd otherwise enjoy, their problem extends far beyond the bounds of that video game. (yes, I'm trying to achive EVE stardom like Malcanis, so you may call the above "Jenn's Law" or "Lex JennaSidus" or something)
Its more than that and you know it, there are corps that put heavy imphisis on the efficency ratio. I could kill kill 4 ships in a tengu but the 5th one kills me and because of isk efficency I am considered to be the one who lost. My view is that I won but the majority of players dot see it that way.
And no this hasnt actually happend to me, I cant even fly a tengu yet, Just useing an example. |

You know what? I admit it, I dont care for pvp. IF high sec were changed to block any and all pvp it wouldnt bother me in the slightest. But how arogent and selfish would I have to be to want CCP to change the game, a game that thousands of players enjoy as is, just to fit the needs of me? People have diffrent view and I can promise you all this, no matter how passionate our logical your resoning is, you will never change each others views. You will always spend hours talking cirlcles around each other and end up back where you started. |

Why are people who choose not to pvp called simpletions or unskilled players. I could make the same argument that pvpers kill other players because they are too unskilled to play the market, but I know thats untrue. Iv tryed pvp and as it stands im not very good at it nor do I enjoy it much. I do find it enjoyable to be the industrial back bone of people who do pvp. I also have no problem dodgeing and weaving gankers who want to steel my stuff, that to me is a form of pvp that is fun. |

The only people I have a problem with are the ones who go out of their way to ruin your game but they are few and far between.
Also theres been some debate on what EVE is so I looked it up.
EVE (noun) 1. The end of the day, EVEning. 2. The wife of Adam in the book of genisis 3. An acronym for Everyone Verses Everyone
Ill give you 2 guesses on which definition applys to this game :) |
